EA recently released The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack, and we were blessed with a PC review copy on Origin. Now, many of you may be wondering why on earth anyone would want knitting in a reality simulation game. You’d be surprised to find out that the Sims community actually voted for this Stuff Pack in the forums.
I’m actually not against this feature. Before I received my first Atari gaming machine, I was a child content to learn the fine art of the knitting skill. Of course, I soon threw the needles aside for gaming controllers, but that’s beside the point. At the tender age of 40, I’d be more than happy to pick it up again, even if it’s in game form.
What can you look forwards to in the new Knitting Stuff Pack? What can you create, and are there knitting skills to unlock? Can you look forward to other new content? We answer these questions and more in our The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack review below.

New Skills And Items In The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack

If you’ve purchased The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack at $10 on Origin or any other site, you may wonder how to start knitting. To begin with, you need to purchase a yarn basket for the house. It will appear in your house’s inventory.
To interact with the yarn basket, you need to move it from the house’s inventory into the house itself. Pick it up into your character’s personal inventory, and you’re set to go. Just sit down on any comfortable spot (even on the poolside) and instruct your Sim to begin knitting.

As soon as they do, a message appears to inform you that your Sim has unlocked knitting skills. They can level up like with any other crafting skill, which unlocks further items that you can knit. Once this knitting skill is available from The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack, your Sims may start knitting whenever they are idle without your instruction.

In case any of my book fans were wondering, yes that’s my main character (Shado Degron) from my Celenic Earth Chronicles epic fantasy novels. Getting back to our The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack review, I enjoyed having this knitting skill available. It’s especially thrilling for Sims players who have unlocked and done everything and looking for new content.
Sell Your Knitting Items Or Use Them Around The House
The fun part extends to what you can do with your new items from The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack. You can sell them on an online platform called Plopsy straight from your phone. While you’re carrying on with your Sims life and career, you may get a message that someone wants to buy the item, which helps as a small passive income.

Of course, the knitting skill also makes new inventory items available for your house. The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack allows you to make plant hangers, sweaters, toys and more! Some of these items aren’t even available for you to buy. Furthermore, you can also give them as a gift to a friend.
New Hairstyles Available From The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack

This articles wouldn’t be a good The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack review if we failed to mention some of the other goodies you’ll receive. There are a few new hairstyles for you to play with, giving your Sims some nifty new looks. While we’re more interested in the knitting skills, we’re sure some players will enjoy dolling up their characters.
Feel free to look at The Sims forum for more details of all the hairstyles you can unlock.
New Music!!!

The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack doesn’t only bring new knit wear, but also new music. I personally loved this new addition. There are two new radio stations you can listen to, which adds buffs to your Sims.
- Focus: helps your Sim maintain focus,
- Metal: a heavier music channel that boosts energy.
So, you can sit in the new rocking chair from The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack and knit away while listening to your favourite new music channel.
Final Verdict – The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack
The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack delivers brand new content, requested from the gaming community. While there is no career path for knitting, there are some awesome new skills to learn. You can sell the items you make or keep them for your household. There are also new hairstyles and rocking chairs. When it comes to sound, there are new radio stations to listen to, depending on your taste.
Overall, we really enjoyed playing this Stuff Pack for our The Sims 4 Nifty Knitting Stuff Pack review. We feel more than comfortable giving it a high score for such a low price.
