The Super Nintendo nostalgia is on!
As Nintendo is preparing for the re-launch of the SNES on September 29, 2017, giant gaming companies are starting to ride the bandwagon to nostalgia.
To celebrate Street Fighter’s 30th anniversary, Capcom is set to re-release the game on a classic SNES cartridge come November.
The game will be limited to a print run of 5,500 copies and players are given two color options for the cartridge. 4,500 will be printed in red, as a nod to Ryu’s iconic headband and 1,000 copies will feature a translucent, glow-in-the-dark “Blanka green. The package will include a restored version of the original instruction booklet and “retro pack-in surprises.”
iam8bit mentioned that both versions will come in a new box with a trifold design in “glistening foil sheen, delicately embossed texture, chic spot varnish.”
Prepare your wallets though as the game will be priced at a hefty $100 and will start shipping sometime in late November 2017. Fans of the series can already pre-order this classic game here.
