Disc Jam Release on Nintendo Switch Slated for 8 February

High Horse Entertainment have informed us in their latest press communication that Disc Jam will be coming to the Switch on 8 February 2018. For those who don’t know, Disc Jam is a multiplayer disc-throwing, shot-blocking action game that was previously released on the PlayStation 4 and PC. Here’s a description of the game straight from the developers:

“Players pick from a growing roster of colourful characters, each sporting their own style and abilities, as they compete in a fast-paced action sport that’s like air hockey and tennis combined. Throw, catch and lob the glowing disc at your opponents, defend your end zone, and unleash devastating abilities to gain the upper hand – all in search of multiplayer dominance.”

There will be crossplay between the PC and Switch, enabling an enhanced experience. More so is the huge update that will be released with the game on day 1, which includes updates that have apparently been requested by the community of players. South American volleyball player Lannie will also be joining the previously available roster.
The update will also include two new modes. For multiplayer mode, there will be Ranked Leagues and Seasons, where you can rise in the ranks and become an elite member of the Universal Federation of Disc. For solo mode, there will be a gauntlet that will be a similar experience to ranked matches online.
We’ve been promised more news from High Horse Entertainment in the weeks to come, so make sure you stay tuned to AIR Entertainment to be kept up to date. We’re also on the list to receive a Switch review copy, so be sure to watch for a possible review after launch.
