While many game companies have gone silent during COVID-19 lockdown, Activision certainly is going full steam ahead. Recently, Season 3 of COD: Modern Warfare was announced with new features for COD: Warzone included. And now, Activision is talking about a new Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2020 Tournament.
TheCall of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2020 Tournament is presented by Activision in collaboration with Sony Mobile Communications Inc. (“Sony Mobile”). The online multiplayer FPS tournament will kick-off for mobile gaming on 30 April 2020.
Not all Call of Duty: Mobile players will be able to enter. You will need to be ranked veteran or higher in the Online Multiplayer mode. You might be able to win exclusive Call of Duty: Mobile esports cosmetics and cash prizes if you’re lucky. There will be more than $1 million in total prizes up for grabs in the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2020 Tournament.
“We are very excited to launch our highly-anticipated competitive tournament in Call of Duty: Mobile,” said Chris Plummer, vice president, mobile at Activision. “As the next-evolution in our fan-favourite Ranked Play, this tournament format gives eligible Call of Duty: Mobile players a chance to compete with players from around the world for cash and prizes.”
As Sony is hosting the online multiplayer FPS tournament, the Sony’s Xperia 1 II (Mark two) will be specifically optimised for the Call of Duty: Mobile World Championship 2020 Tournament. Remember, the mobile gaming tournament starts 30 April 2020 in selected countries around the world.
