Bullet Girls Phantasia PC Review (Hentai Adult Game)

In my attempt to start reviewing some of the naughtier games out there, enter Bullet Girls Phantasia. It was released on 17 January 2020 on Steam, developed by Shade Inc and published by D3Publisher.

The developers describe the content like this:

“This game contains partial nudity, sexual themes, harsh language, and content that may not be suitable for all ages. Although it does not contain any graphic sexual content, it does have a mode where characters can be touched and as such may not be appropriate for the workplace. All characters in the game are over the age of 18.”

When I began entering the Hentai gaming arena a few weeks ago with this title, I will be honest that I expected less story and more skin. I was pleasantly surprised that there is a campaign mode with various chapters. The first few sections take you through the tutorial, showing you where to move, how to aim and shoot, etc.

During missions, you can select the attacker and your buddy. Before heading into missions, you can head to a Changing Room, where you can choose between heavy armoured lingerie and underwear, or minimal clothing that will do nothing to protect you. Now, if you were actually eager on completing the game, you would go for the heavy armour. If you are playing it simply for the hentai semi-nude women, then you’d go for Option B.

You also choose which weapons you want to take into the battle. It is especially important to decide which weapons your buddy will carry, since she will most likely save your sexy ass a few times. When you head into battle, you will face off against one of the races in this world, starting with the orcs. Each mission has specific objectives, but it starts off as easy as blowing them up and killing them off.

The fun part for all you perverts out there is what happens when you get struck. Your clothes start falling off. First you are reduced to panties and bra, and then to nudity. Once you are completely naked, and are hit, you will be killed. There are underwear littering the battlefield once you kill some beasts, which will then clad you with some clothes again.

And if you are impatient to become naked, that’s ok. These girls have some supermoves where they completely strip themselves naked, and then blast the crap out of everyone around them. Sadly, this means you lose your armour, but that’s ok. Who doesn’t want to run around a battlefield naked? It’s not like they can focus on killing you while everything is showing, right?

However, when I say naked, I don’t mean you will be treated to full nudity. You can choose what covers your bits in the Changing Room. A fluffy white cloud, some balls of light, or a mass of dark matter. Steam doesn’t permit full nudity, so the developer had to become rather creative.

However, from some research for this review, I have discovered that there are some patches out there that can be installed if you really want to see it all. The patches remove these coverings and you are treated to the whole enchilada. I can happily say I didn’t try to install any of these. Firstly, I am not that desperate to see nude hentai cartoons, and secondly, I don’t want any weird viruses appearing on my computer and destroying everything. Even if you aren’t into nudity, the game and story itself is entertaining and you will have fun blasting away at some enemies and bosses. However, there is another mode worth mentioning that is part of the campaign too, called Drilling. This is where you tie up one of the bosses, or girls, to interrogate them. Well…to torture them basically. This entails teasing ‘hotspots’ on their body, and listening to their responses. A cry with a groan and displeasure on the face, and your cold. She doesn’t like that. A pleasurable moan, and you’re getting warmer. Hit the spot, and she cries out in ecstasy. Keep tapping or rubbing that spot until she… well, explodes with pleasure.

The graphics are quite good for a hentai game. There are some really low resolution blocky scenes when fighting the bosses, and also pretty barren battlefields in terms of decorations, and the game won’t win any graphics awards, but the girls and their scamp clothes are alluring enough. Much graphical design has gone into the story-telling, with characters appearing in various scenes during their dialogues. The developer was definitely not lazy when providing content for the story.

Voices are in Japanese, which just adds to the allure. But don’t worry, subtitles and menu options are all in English on the Steam version. Which was something I was worried about. And in true Japanese style, you will be treated to their JRPG-style music and sound effects.

All in all, Bullet Girls Phantasia is a rather fun game to play. Being my first entry into the Hentai game scene, I was rather surprised by the storytelling and the action gameplay. Even without the nudity (well, semi-nudity), the game would still be enjoyable to play. Enemy graphics and intelligence could be improved on, but you’ll find yourself coming back to complete the main storyline. After that, it’s all about the girls.
