DLC Review: Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Tyranids.

On January 15, everyone’s favorite race of intelligent xenos joined the world of Warhammer 40,000: Gladius – Relics of War.  If you’re unfamiliar with the title, read our review right here in which I gave it a 9 out of 10 for being a tense and dynamic 4X game with wildly varying gameplay based on which of the four available races you choose to play as. Now that you’re up to speed, let’s talk Tyranids!  Adding yet another new style of play to Gladius, the Tyranid expansion pack allows you to play as – or…

EA Cancels Upcoming Star Wars Game.

In yet another desperate bid to become (or continue its reign as) the least loved publisher in the industry, EA has decided to cancel its upcoming open-world Star Wars video game, as was originally reported by Kotaku on Tuesday evening according to three sources close to the title. Following its early days as a linear action title by Visceral Studios (Dead Space) before their foreclosure, it was later announced that the title would be completely revamped, save for some of the original audiovisual assets, and turned into an open-world title to be developed…

Feature: What You Should Be Listening To While Gaming.

Note: This is an opinion article by jonny Lupsha.  My opinions are my own and do not necessarily reflect those of AIR Entertainment nor any of the mentioned games or musicians. So, I love a good video game score as much as anyone.  But you have to admit, sometimes when you get into that 10th or 50th or 500th hour of play, the music tends to get a little old.  Luckily for you, I’ve spent nearly 30 years collecting music and longer than that playing video games, so I’ve decided…

Review: The First Tree (ps4).

Look – nobody hates me more than I do for the way this review is gonna come out.  So don’t waste your time writing me angry emails or doxxing me on Facebook, because, in the words of Jimmy Urine,  there is nothing you can do that I have not already done to myself.  Let’s go. The First Tree is a very personal, very intimate story of Joseph and Rachel, a married couple who speak to each other as Joseph lays in bed unable to sleep, wrestling with a dream he had…

Review: Farming Simulator 19 (ps4).

Let’s get the obvious/obligatory moaning out of the way first.  Gaming is an industry in which a player can have a sabretooth tiger as a pet, make whoopee to ridiculously-proportioned women in VR, go to a psychic summer camp, use wormhole guns, pilot X-Wings in 3-D and shoot Adolf Hitler in the testicles.  Next to that, unfolding a sower and planting soybean probably doesn’t sound too exciting to you.  And in a way, you’re right – Farming Simulator 19 is not all about the thrills of mind-surfing in a meat circus or…

First Impressions: Sigma Theory (pc).

Mi-Clos Studios recently provided me with a Steam code to get in on the private beta for their upcoming espionage title Sigma Theory.  Since it’s a work-in-progress, I’m not going to bother posting my laptop specs, because I don’t know what will still be added to the game upon its release and that would make my own specs a moot point.  But here are my first impressions of this dynamic spy/diplomacy/strategy game. In Sigma Theory, you take on the role of the director of a spy agency after choosing your own name…
